Sofitel Adelaide

Loved the deluxe twin room, beautiful materials and fit out, it felt luxurious and comfortable. A lovely minibar selection. We really enjoyed the pool, gym and sauna amenities, and the restuarant.

It took a long time on the phone to get through to concierge. The ordering of breakfast in room was not working through the QR codes.

+ nice furnished room, comfy couches. + comfy bed. + nice bath basin and toilet and shower, they were cleaned pretty good. + nice complimentary spring water.

- the bed blankets are too warm, it gets too hot under the blankets after just a few minutes, like way too hot. - In-room dining menu for late night only has mostly desserts, it could have more menu items like snacks, chips, potato wedges, etc. - the rubbish bins in the hotel room were small, they could be abit bigger. - the room ceiling lights could have dim lights for the bed, as some lighting are abit bright. - the bathtub could have an additional bubble bath soap. - more cloth hangers needed on wardrobe. - the bath robe could be bigger size.

The location is fairly convenient

Upon my arrival I was allocated room which was a junior suite and the hot water was not working. After a long flight and a late night that is the last thing that one needs. It also had an unpleasant odour. Additionally, there was no soap in the dispenser. Despite having being told that the property was checked prior to my arrival, it would have been obvious but those two factors exist existed .For its age, the property is not ageing well and having had the benefit of staying there for quite some time. I get the impression that its cleanliness has gone downhill.
