Nice size rooms for a hotel on the Golden Circle. Two good restaurants across the road.

Beautiful grounds, clean buildings, quaint reception/breakfast area. We didn't get a change to enjoy the hot tubs but they were popular in the evening. Showers and bathrooms were roomy and the supplied towels and robes were a nice touch.

Super friendly staff at check in, even though we were a bit early. Rooms can be opened with a code, which was new to us, but it is very convenient. Breakfast was very good.
Liked the room, the beds were comfy unfortunately we did not have time to get into the hot tubs in front of the hotel.

The hotel was easy to find although sent information on how to get into your room which was not entirely clear
There was a fire alarm at 3am which they said came from our room although no source was found
For the rest of the night we could smell a faint smell of smoke and the electrics kept tripping. Although we reported this no one appeared to investigate until the morning. We discovered at breakfast that the electrical tripping was experienced by other guests too
