Pasamos 5 noches en el apartamento de Yolanda y tuvimos una estancia perfecta. Yolanda nos recibió con mucha calidez y nos brindó toda la información necesaria para disfrutar de nuestra estancia allí y en Cusco. El apartamento que elegimos era un dúplex en la última planta, con unas vistas increíbles de Cusco y un pequeño balcón. Aunque se encuentra en una zona bastante elevada del barrio de San Blas, no resultó difícil llegar hasta allí. El apartamento es espacioso, acogedor y cálido; cuenta con calefacción e incluso chimenea (algo importante dadas las noches frías en Cusco), y está decorado con muy buen gusto. Dispone de todas las comodidades necesarias; además, ofrecen servicio de lavandería, lo cual es ideal para quienes, como nosotros, viajamos durante un largo periodo por Sudamérica. Espero volver al apartamento de Yolanda cuando regresemos a Perú dentro de unos meses; sin duda, recomiendo encarecidamente alojarse aquí.

- The views of Cusco were amazing from our room. Being up on the hill gives you sprawling views of all downtown Cusco. - The rooms were comfortable. Good size for 2 people. - There was a full kitchen, which was nice to have even though we personally didn't use it. There was also an electric tea kettle in the room that we did use daily for teas in the morning and evening. - Yolanda was an incredible host who truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. She helped coordinate our laundry, which was picked up and delivered right to our door within a day. She was always just a text away whenever we needed anything and even shared a list of her favorite restaurants and coffee shops around town, all of which were fantastic recommendations! What stood out to me most, though, was the kindness and care she showed when I was struggling with the altitude. I had been feeling unwell enough to arrange for a doctor to visit our place, and when Yolanda heard what was going on, she took the time to stop by our unit, check on me, and even bring me a canister of oxygen to use. It was such a thoughtful and compassionate gesture that made me feel genuinely cared for and supported. It's rare to come across a host who is so attentive and genuinely invested in her guests' well-being. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend staying with Yolanda!

- The property can be a little challenging to access, as taxis drop you off at the bottom of a set of stairs, which you'll need to carry your luggage up. There are also additional stairs within the complex. While this is fairly common in Cusco and not unique to this property, I wouldn't recommend staying here if you have mobility concerns or difficulty carrying luggage. In that case, I'd suggest finding a place with direct road access.

The situation on the hill in the barrio San Blas, the apartment, that looked like a tiny house.

Everything was exceptional. The apartment had a 400 year old Inca wall as an interior feature through the lower and upper levels. The entire space was so spacious, nicely decorated, well lit and felt like a little slice of comfortable home. The bed was also very comfortable and the facilities great. If you would like laundry done you only need to leave it outside your door and she will return it that night for 9soles a kilo. Though the biggest stand out aspect to the stay was Yolanda the host. She was so incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful. Always a big smile on her face and always giving great advice. She also stored our bags for a week while we hiked which was so appreciated!

There is really not anything I could say I didn't like. The only thing that was a little difficult (but barely) is that the apartment is not directly accessible by car, requiring a short walk and some steps to reach. Which meant that for early tours etc. you often have to walk down to a main street to be picked up - but we really didn't mind this at all. Meant the apartment was very peaceful and quiet.
