The location was perfect for both Lincoln city and the Lincolnshire show grounds which we were visiting.
It’s just a small thing really but we like to listen to the radio and there wasn’t one! Or even just echo dot to listen to or to link our phones playlist?

It's been truly wonderful staying here and I'd definitely recommend it for future accommodation! The cottage is in such a pretty, secluded setting. The dogs and chickens are so sweet. The hosts have been really friendly also, they've offered me fresh plums from their orchard, eggs from the hens, and even left me a home-baked fruit loaf. There was also plenty of snacks and drinks for me when I arrived which was very kind.

I loved how homely and welcoming Hen Cottage felt from the moment we arrived. The space is clearly very well cared for, and the hosts were fantastic — friendly, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making the stay comfortable. The cottage sits in beautiful countryside, offering peace and lovely views, yet it’s still an easy trip into Lincoln, where there’s a great selection of shops and restaurants.
Honestly, there wasn’t anything to dislike. Everything was well maintained, thoughtfully prepared, and exactly as described.

"Probablement le gite le plus propre que j'aie jamais vu. Moquette blanche immaculée, divan relax, cuisine super équipée, machine à laver séchante... rien ne manque pour passer un bon moment. Les hôtes..."
