Immaculate property, lots of space, very comfortable beds. Loved the laid back breakfasts and the swimming pool was a very nice addition.

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and nicely decorated. The location is excellent, peaceful and central. The bathrooms were also excellent. It was good to have many comfortable places to sit and relax. The large library and the selection of books in the room itself were a very nice touch: it felt homey.
There was a serious downside with 3 aspects. The pool was in use but it was not clean (leaves, insects, and it didn't look as if this was just the effects of one or two days wind). The breakfast bar was too small and poorly provisioned for the size of the property: guests had to eat cereal with a fork because there were no spoons and there was no staff to help; there was no milk and the coffee maker was not working properly. There is no personal touch at all: from the time we arrived to our departure we came across no staff, except the (friendly and helpful) cleaners. The description of the Amelia should make it clearer that guests are left to provision everything for themselves and there is no assistance on the property.
