A Muralha

The location was amazing. We were in a very quiet room overlooking the pedestrian street at the back of the hotel. The room was cleaned and towels changed daily if you wanted. The hotel is basic but very clean and staff were so friendly and helpful

The 44 steps up to the 2nd floor….. but we got used to them and were experts at the end of our stay🤣

The breakfast was excellent. The location was excellent- we loved being within walking distance of so much. The reception gave us great tips on where to eat, how to get to the ferry and some local castles.

Cleanup at breakfast could be faster- a few times we came to a nice table that still had dishes on it. Also, very clear directions to the free parking near the bus would be good. Once you know where it is, it is easy, but finding it the first time was hard.

Great location, very close to all the key sites in town, as well as restaurants, castle and museums. The breakfast was very good, with lots of selections of both savory and sweet items. The front desk staff was very helpful

The room was much more basic than what we expected. No kettle, safe, or fridge. Very basic furniture. In a lot of ways, what we would have expected from a budget hotel. The room had two major tripping hazards. The one leading out to what was probably the balcony wasn't an issue, but the odd step up upon entering the bathroom was: it would be an easy one to miss for a late-night trip to the toilet or when trying to exit the shower, especially since the tiles were all the same colour. The daily room cleaning was inconsistent: we never got new drinking glasses and the changing of the towels varied by the day, regardless of where we left them.
