The resort has one large family pool, one small intimate pool, a children's pool, and an outdoor spa tub. There is weekend poolside entertainment during peak seasons.

The Blue Heron Beach Resort occupies 900 feet of lakeshore, with a private dock. Lake activities include motor boating, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing, and kayaking—either on site or nearby. Water skis, boats, and other rentals are available from an independently operated water-sports center just a short walk from the hotel along the lake. The center can also deliver personal watercraft to the hotel's own dock.
