Competent employees and overall, a very decent property with well-stocked rooms. Perfect Location.
A solid 8, if the wifi worked IN the room.
At this price point, the fact that the wifi does not work in your room is a FAIL, circa 2026! After a 9 hour walk, I may not want to go to the lobby to research the coming days! You guys need to get that sorted. Particularly in such a big travel hub.
( I edited the review on this from a 6 to an 8. The property reached out to explain the wifi issue is out of their hands. Apparently, infrastructure in Fort William is dated and too many visitors is also degrading capabilities. )

The hospitality and the simple nature of the hotel was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The common room was very comfortable and enjoyable.
The bathroom, combining the shower and toilet was a bit awkward. Nice hot water though.
They admit the wifi is iffy and that is on target. We could connect in the common room, but nowhere else.

Location was great, very central and near everything. No cooked breakfast available but tea, coffee and cereal available. Room and bathroom looked clean with a view over the main street.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, check-in and out was easy.
It's a great location base for seeing the area.
This is a very basic hotel and not modern basic. It's an old hotel in need of modernisation and TLC.
Our bathroom was a partitioned corner of the bedroom, adequate!
