Walk to Beautiful Balboa Park! Definitely spend time at the great museums and attractions and excellent restaurant, Prado. There was a nice burger place around the corner (really a dive bar) great little taco stand down the street, all walkable!
They should make it clear that if you have a car, you must rent their garage space ($20 a night), otherwise there is NO OVERNIGHT PARKING ANYWHERE! So it was quire stressful on arrival as we spent time and effort to try to find something safe and walkable, Also, no fault of owners but there were jets right overhead (not late at night or ealy morning), but keeping the fan on masked the noise.

Sam and staff were very helpful! The proximity to Balboa Park was perfect for the weekend event. There were four of us and a dog, and we were able to sleep and stay comfortably! I did not find it as noisy as some reviews suggested. Sam and staff were very accommodating in helping us pay and find parking.
We didn’t have any issues during our stay!

The place is too noisy; you can hear all the footsteps and voices of people passing by and going up the stairs. In addition, you can clearly hear the noise of airplanes landing nearby. The mattress was dirty, and the sheets on one of the beds had a blood stain. As for the kitchen facilities, there were only very basic items such as coffee, salt, and sugar, and there were not even napkins or cooking oil available to prepare meals.
