water heater was not turned on when we arrived. door code was hard to use because of a stick latch.

Our stay at Ocean Rose was very enjoyable. Plenty of room so everyone could spread out. We planned our trip to Lincoln City to coincide with the Lincoln City Kite Festival and staying at Ocean Rose made it much easier to get to the festival.... just a short walk down the beach. Perfect viewing.

I would not consider Ocean Rose ADA accessible. Nor is the beach access. Too many steps both at the house and at the beach access.

the information from the 1st person I spoke with when I learned that the 'original' property wasn't available due to sewer issues. I believe it was Linda the manager who smoothed ALL out her direction to stay at THIS property instead was an excellent option. ( Book in was somehow involved ? and I didn't appreciate their misdirections)

The property is centrally located and blocks away from the beach and mid town Lincoln city, Oregon.

The house was build in 1936 and though it’s a very cute house, it is NOT wheelchair/handicap accessible. The room on the first floor is right off the kitchen BUT the photos don’t show that the dining room is sunken and there are 3 steps to get to the dining room from the living room. The bathrooms are both on the main floor BUT they don’t tell you that the walk-in shower is the size of a 5 year old and is completely inaccessible for handicapped adults. The main bathroom has a huge soaker tub that is also inaccessible for handicapped adults. There are 6 steps from the yard to the front door which also is not discussed the the property pics. You can see that there are 4 steps to the entrance of the home but even the back door is not accessible for wheelchairs/or individuals that do not navigate stairs. The kitchen is cute but there are soft spots in the floor so you have to be careful not to roll your ankle. There are 2 rooms upstairs that are private with doors and then a loft - less private. Also, the 15 stairs to get to the second floor - the houses foundation is settling and the entire house is not level so you can feel the angle of the house when you’re on either floor. The furniture is all old style wicker and not comfortable or relaxing. All of the carpet is stained/ dirty and all of the floors are sticky from the cleaning supplies used when cleaning. Be careful with the dishwasher or it will come out of the wall where it has been installed. The cookware is really damaged and scratched/dirty. Parts of the fridge were broken and the setting was on high so it freeze the things we had in there. The pillows (decorative) have HARD starfishes sown to them for decoration and they hurt you use the pillows for anything but decor. The property management needs to provide more accurate description of the layout of the property BEFORE renting.
