AMANEK Beppu YULA-RE

The breakfast was extensive, the beds were super comfortable, the wifi was good, the location was great, the staff was pleasant, and the amenities (pool, onsen) were also terrific. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

My room smelled a bit iffy, like someone had eaten Indian food in it before I arrived. Additionally, the bathroom shutters had some mould on them (to which I attended the reception but only at my check out and they did apologize). The rest of the bathroom was meticulously cleaned and spacious.

The design. The foyer with woodwork & sun filtering through was lovely. The rooftop heated swimming pool with views was magnificent. Hotel well organised . Welcome drinks very nice. The breakfast had excellent choice & delicious

The onsen both inside & out could have been hotter.

This was a very nice hotel on the surface. However as others have said the rooftop bar that us advertised widely throughout the hotel was not open and although the pool is beautiful there is no shade from the extreme heat so it’s not really usable. The breakfast was good and the staff were fine. Our room unfortunately smelled very, very damp. It was like it may have had a leak? I didn’t mention it at the time because we were only there for the night and the smell was alleviated somewhat by the dehumidifier. All in all this is a nice, well located hotel that is just missing a little attention to detail.

They could have been factual about the pool bar being closed.
