Bloom - Golf Course Road

It was clean. The staff were for the most part very helpful, welcoming, accommodating and supportive. I went with this hotel because of the high ratings and long history, and location. I wanted a safe bet place which is why I didn't mind paying this much for the room. Reliability. I'm sure there might be other options nearby, but they didn't have that many consistent reviews and history. As a foreigner traveling alone I would either go for a high end place or something very trusted when going to India because there might be language barriers or registration complications and I cannot afford to go about in a new place at night searching for a new hotel. This hotel isn't perfect, but they delivered on what I needed them to. They are reliable. Had AC, clean water bottles, coffee packets, paper cups and water heater. They manned reception at my time of visit 24/7. Very good. Didn't try to upcharge me or anything like that. Mind you I also knew some locals nearby. They accepted my foreign nationality for checkin. They fixed my fan They offered complimentary juice bottles. (Good ones) Helped with translation and brought me water and such when called. Had a safe. No bugs or dirt in room. Had AC. Didn't have any objections or opinions on me bringing takeout to my room. I know some hotels (bless their souls) can have opinions on this.

Too expensive for what you get. (Or so my friends repeatedly told me) Ventilation fan was broken in several rooms, although they send a repair person to fix it after some talks. Asked me to pay upfront when I checked in. There was no fridge in room. Didn't let me keep the AC or fan on when I left the room. The door isn't lockable from outside if electricity is on.(Keycard) Some electronic system there. [Lockable from inside with manual lock however] They have a policy of no visitors in rooms I believe, while I didn't have anyone come, I dislike these things and I imagine I would be plenty upset if I was denied this.

There were some commotion by people around but the staff helped me with sorting out the same
