The location was excellent for our needs. It’s close to public transport on clearly marked streets which made navigation easy and within walking distance to the mall and a couple of corner shops for drinks and snacks. The apartment itself matched the photos. The rooms were clean and well maintained.

1. *Swimming pool* The listing advertises a swimming pool as a facility. There was no mention that this is an extra cost, or that access is restricted as it’s a private facility for “serious swimmers” only. My children were very disappointed that we couldn’t use the pool during our stay. For future guests, payment details and usage rules for the pool should be made expressly clear on the website at the time of booking to avoid confusion. 2. *TV signal* The TV had no signal when we arrived, so we were unable to watch World Cup football on local channels. The staff did resolve this the next day, which we appreciate, but by then we had already missed a couple of matches. 3. *Dining chairs* A couple of the dining chairs were unsafe. The seats were half-screwed on and loose, and the legs felt easily bendable. This was a concern every time we sat down to eat.

The apartment is well appointed, modern, . There is a nice terrace which we used to dry our clothes on the sunny days or enjoy a glass of wine on. The kitchen was fully functional and straightforward to operate. Additionally the presence of two toilets is always nice when traveling with the family. The hosts were easy to work with and promptly answered all communication. Location wise its near enough to M2 line (station is ~7 min walk) to have an easy connection to the city center. You are also across the street from one of the larger parts in Sofia, though most of the built areas (playgrounds and the like) are further away to the north. There is a Billa (grocery store) less than 5 min walk away.

The property mentions a private pool, this might imply that its exclusive to the apartment complex and that you will have free access, neither is true. Its open to the public and there is a cost (15 BGN) per person per hour. Additionally, its configured for swimming laps, not really designed for splashing around with the family. This is fine if its expected, just be aware that if you are looking for a place with a pool for kids this may not be the best fit.
