We’ve stayed at the sister hotel, Nana Beach, many times, which is lovely except for the rock hard mattress which we suggest they improve. This time the prices were excessive, we just needed a stopover on our way to Phuket, so we decided to stay in town. They’ve added foam toppers to the rock hard mattress, big improvement! It’s in walking distance of a popular soi that has great local food, a shopping mall (for aircon!) and the picturesque train station.

When booking I requested a high floor with good view. At check in, They put us on the 2nd fl with a view of the very close building next door i.e. no view and would have to keep the curtains closed for privacy. The room was very small and smelled damp. I immediately asked for a better room and after a 20 min they moved us to a much bigger room with a view over the town. Clearly trying to pull a fast one on us as we heard other guests talking about B600 rooms on the 2nd fl when we’d paid over B800. Better training and cleaner rooms with a kettle and I would consider staying there again.
