This is a pleasant cottage in a lovely village and we had an enjoyable stay overall. However, there are a few things that prospective guests should be aware of before booking. Although the property sleeps a large number of people, the communal areas don't really accommodate larger groups comfortably. Meal times and evening socialising can feel a bit cramped, and the TVs are smaller and less impressive than you might expect for a property of this size and standard. Given the number of bedrooms, we also found the number of bathrooms to be somewhat limited. The biggest issue for us was information that wasn't disclosed before booking but was heavily emphasised after arrival. There appears to be an ongoing sensitivity regarding the shared driveway with neighbouring properties. We received repeated instructions not to stop on the drive, even briefly while entering the gate code, which didn't create the most relaxing holiday atmosphere. We were also repeatedly reminded not to step near certain areas, such as the pebbled sections of the grounds. The property is advertised as dog-friendly and allows up to two dogs, but what wasn't made clear beforehand is that the garden is not secure and chickens roam freely around the property. As a result, we had to make alternative arrangements for our dogs and leave them at home, which was disappointing. Overall, this is a nice cottage in a beautiful location, but clearer information before booking would have helped us decide whether it was the right fit for our group.

We had a wonderful time in the house celebrating a 80th Birthday. The house is very nice with a lovely garden in a lovely village.

Lovely house in lovely location excellent for a family get together. Great pubs and two wonderful cafes in the village too.

We visit the Cotswolds every year as a group of nine old friends, and this cottage has been the best place we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away — a stunning Cotswold stone home with so much space, beautifully decorated, and absolutely spotless. It felt instantly welcoming and comfortable. The village is lovely and peaceful, tucked away from the main tourist spots but with everything you could possibly need. There are gorgeous walks straight from the door and some fantastic country pubs within walking distance — perfect for lazy afternoons and evenings together. Kevin, the manager, was brilliant — great communication and so helpful from start to finish. We honestly didn’t want to leave. This cottage has everything you could wish for — beautiful, relaxing, and full of charm. Can’t wait to come back next year!
