We had a wonderful time. The house was big enough for our crew of 7. I liked how each bedroom had their own bathroom. The house was very clean with updated bathrooms. There were plenty of bath towels as well, which is nice. The location was perfect. Just a few steps away from the beach. The house comes with plenty of beach chairs which was very convenient. Quiet, family neighborhood. Will definitely be back again!

Family get together

The house we stayed in (Byrd’s nest) although had an amazing location was definitely not worth the price. There were absolutely no cleaning supplies. Not even and small vacuum or broom. I bought all my own cleaning supplies for keeping the house clean while we stayed. The dishwasher was absolutely disgusting. We didn’t even use it at all or open in after the first night when we saw it. There were random stains on the ceiling that I got on a step stool and cleaned off myself. When we walked in the house smelled like bleach like they had just finished cleaning, but only in the living room. There were no extras of anything, not even trash bags. There was a decent amount of basic serving utensils and cooking items but I rewashed everything I used before using. I didn’t want to think about the dishwasher being the source of cleaning it. The house had no general upkeep. I understand it’s coastal living and it gets dirty but the windows, back patio and most of the furniture was filthy. The floors were filthy from day one. I was walking around barefoot before bed and had to wash my feet before climbing into the white sheets. The price we paid for the house like I said was not worth the money outside of the fact that it was right across the street from the beach. If you just want a close to the beach bungalow with no frills then this is the stay for you.
