James is a wonderful host, full of recommendations. He even left us a complimentary bottle of wine for our wedding anniversary celebration, such a nice touch. A 5 minute walk away from town, it's the perfect location. The cottage is so beautifully decorated and breakfast overlooking the garden is perfect. Breakfast was spectacular - honestly! Delicious and full of too many options! Pat, our server, was friendly and very accommodating. Overall, a perfect 10/10 - thank you to James and his team! Highly recommended!

James was 6* host. Very helpful and attentative from get go. Helped us with many things, also was so kind and dropped us in wine tram station :)
The room in general was big, comfy and very well equipped. I don't remember hotel, where I could really smell freshly washed bed sheets as here.
Breakfast was amazing, never had better and bigger fruit salad :)
There is a pool within the property, but the weather was not that good during our stay, but I can imagine that it could be a cherry on the cake.
Location is amazing, just few metres from main street and from restaurants as Epice and such.

Petit Ermitage is perfectly placed for a holiday in Franschhoek. Only a couple minutes walk from the main high street, where there’s plenty to explore and lots of bars and restaurants.
We stayed in The Annex, and the room was even better than we imagined. A great size, with a separate living room and kitchen area, where James’ team very kindly provided our breakfast in the morning.
James is a brilliant host. He, and all the team, are so friendly and kind and they truly want to help you have the best holiday. We arrived fairly late to Franschhoek and James very kindly took us to the wine tram station as quickly as he could and made sure we were able to get on the next available tram. He also gave us lots of great recommendations and was more than happy to answer all of our questions.
I would be more than happy to recommend Petit Ermitage to anyone visiting Franschhoek. I wish we were able to stay for longer than the one night we had.

Very comfortable, quiet and close to the shops and restaurants. We liked the pool as well. The host was super friendly and helpful.
