I was lucky as a single person booked into a room that was meant for two or more. thus it was very spacious and gave me lots of room. it was very clean and the kitchen area had everything that I needed.
as i wrote to the mgmt of Vesturgata, it was initially a surprise when I heard noises of people very close to the windows of my bedroom at various times, including when it was dark. I discovered later that this is where the garbage and recycling is located but it was unnerving at first.

It was very clean and cosy. I liked that it was also heated when I entered the room. I mean the heater was working which felt very cosy. The beds and pillows were very comfy and clean. The toilet and bath was very clean too. Coffee machine and welcome coffee was very kind.
If you have a heavy baggage one looks for a lift. The lift is the only thing that I missed.

The location was excellent and the facilities were very practical. Our room was very clean. I really appreciated that the ratio of shared bathrooms to bedrooms was very good.
There was a sign that said the fridge was emptied on Monday. I arrived on a Monday and expected that the fridge would have been cleaned out before check in time. So I labelled our milk but it was still thrown out. The common areas were also not cleaned before check in. It gave an initial poor reaction

The location was the best part of the property
The red house was in an alley with a bunch of trash cans. There was only one mirror in the entire place when on the listing pictures there was more. It made it very difficult to get ready with 6 people staying there

"Excellente situation géographique, au coeur du quartier central de Reykjavik. J'étais au 4e étage, avec une vue sur le port. Propre, simple, bonne communication avec les hôtes."
