We had a wonderful stay here in Rothenberg - such a treasure! The breakfast room/check-in area was located just 200 feet away from the apartment we rented. The breakfast was delicious, and the host will prepare eggs for you (scrambled, boiled, fried, etc.) if you ask. I needed oatmilk for my coffee (I am lactose intolerant) and that was no problem. The apartment was nice and clean and modern, yet it is in a very old building, but well-maintained. The apartment was on the third floor (no elevator). So keep this in mind if you are bringing liggage. I do want to point out that both bedrooms of the apartment are up one flight of very narrow stairs, each on either side of the apartment. We are in our 60's, and we found this to be the only disadvantage. The bathroom is on the main floor of the apartment, and we both needed to use it two times each night (oh, the joys of being older!) and going up and down the narrow and steep steps was a little challenging. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay here. Keep in mind the one parking spot for the apartment is a block away and is in a small area to maneuver. A small car is best here! The location of this VRBO is convenient, but quiet. Be sure to go to the historic restaurant next door. It is delightful!

Host was excellent at communicating. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. It was up 2 long staircases so carry on only is wise. The stairs up to each bedroom from the mail floor are steep also. The kitchen was well appointed if you want to cook. The bathroom is small but nice. The breakfast was more than we expected. Different types of coffee or tea as well as juices. There was a choice of how you wanted your eggs, fresh yogurt, fresh fruit plate, assorted meats and cheeses as well as bread. You won’t leave hungry. The apartment had nice off the street parking. ( rent a small car) The location is very convenient to the old town but quiet as it is off the main square.

Incredible historic building. Extraordinary.

First the host was awesome, the place was very clean. Keep in mind it is on the 3rd floor so you have about 5 runs of stairs to drag your luggage up, then the one bedroom with 2 beds has a normal set of stairs to get up to it. the king or master bed on the other side has basically a ladder that you climb. Also keep in mind no A/C so for any Americans coming here look out it is very hot, now to combat that the host has 2 big fans that you can use and you can open the windows. The bathroom is small and odd. the toilet is outside of the bathroom in a tiny room that you really need to open the door to pull your pants back up. On the plus side it is clean the host is very good, it is very close to town square. I will say this may very well be the norm for European STR's so keep all of that in mind. This was night 1 of our big 2 week trip so we will see.
