We absolutely loved our stay at Poppy’s Paradise! The property was clean, welcoming, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen—it was so nice to be able to prepare meals instead of eating out for every meal.Our adult kids stayed with us and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax, and it made for a wonderful family getaway.The only small issues we encountered were that the keypad could be a bit finicky, and the ice maker wasn’t working during our stay. Neither one took away from our experience, though.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend Poppy’s Paradise to others. We’d be happy to come back again!The Ravermann’s

Great house, great pool, and even better Hosts?

We loved this house! Great amenities! Plenty of space! The kitchen was really well stocked with great quality cookware. Having the double ovens and the 2 sets of washers and dryers was a plus! It’s in a beautiful neighborhood. We rented the golf cart and enjoyed driving around to look at the houses and the bay. We also made it out H‑E‑B which is super close. Our hosts made us a map to get to town in the cart! Our boys booked a fishing charter and had a wonderful day! They caught 14 fish and we grilled them for dinner that night! Thank you Matt and Christie for your hospitality!

Over all, the house was large enough for 3 families. Close to beach, ocean views are beautiful so giving it a 3, but it needs some work to say the least! cons: the house is old so very out dated. We had large families and cooked every night. The stove only has 2 working burners, and 1 of those 2 didnt get very hot. My husband had to fix the other one to make it work. The basic appliances were horrible ( dont try using the can opener, not possible!) There we ants in every nook and cranny of the house. All over the bathroom and kitchen counters. The microwave was old so even trying to just warm things up took a massive amount of time. There were huge holes in the walls with pictures to cover them upWe contacted the host a few days prior that we would have a registered support animal as a courtesy and was told we needed to call to figure that out because they dont allow pets because of the cleaning fees they incur. Understand animals are not accepted, but again this is a registered support dog for medical reasons. We didnt call to discuss because were mind blown to get that response.Downstairs: The lights (floresent lights!!) Were on the same switch as the fans. To turn the fan on the bright light HAD TO STAT ON. Its Texas, its HOT! Creepy part...there is a room with a lock, that didnt lock. Opened the door to find a TV showing multiple recordings of the cameras around the house!!! Understand its for security, but this was creepy!Unfortunately, we wont be going back
