We stayed in Helena’s beautiful house during September 2026, which was a treat! This 3-story house in a quiet uphill Pinhao neighborhood is perfect for either a couple or a family. Everything from a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable beds to a pool table and hot tub, comfortable reading nooks, a secluded ground-floor patio, balconies on two floors (perfect for wine hour!), and a washing machine. Helena’s house is spotless and beautifully well-decorated, and congenial helpful host Helena prepared our magnificent daily breakfast with a smile. We were at home in this spacious house while we enjoyed wine-tasting and a boat ride on the Douro River. What a perfect location! Thank you Helena for your prompt communication and congeniality!

Be aware that Helena’s house is a short walk from the train station by going uphill, using a combination of road and stairs. A brief taxi ride from the train station to the house is recommended if possible.

Overall every thing was excellent! Helena prepared a wonderful breakfast! awe had read the other reviews on the breakfast and it certainly did not disappoint! We felt very pampered to have someone come in a prepare a wonderful breakfast for us. The house is huge and we had plenty of space! I would definitely come back again!

There was nothing not to like!

Wonderful property and home. Very comfortable and large. Well stocked. Helena prepares the most delicious breakfast each morning, and this is so appreciated.

Nothing. It was perfect.

Beautiful large home, even just the 2 of us still worth it to stay. Thank you Helena for a delicious and very large portion breakfast, so much left over that we could eat for lunch. Helena is super sweet
