Well equipped 1 bedroom apartment with sunny balcony in the middle of downtown Auckland.
Took 1.5 hours to get access to the unit, as the access key was not in the pickup box, and had difficulty communicating with the manager of the unit.

The location was easy access to many amenities.
Being deducted $185 from the deposit for a small pen mark on the carpet, of which WE DID NOT DO. There were no pens or writing pads to cause this and also, we didn't have any pens on us because everything required during our stay was electronic-based.
We raised the question of how a small pen mark could be so expensive to rectify and we got no validation from the hosts to show evidence of same affected area being unblemished from any prior guests. This could have been easily overlooked from a previous stay.
Lesson learned. Take photos of everything as you enter any Air BnB if you don't want to get caught out next time.
