Lovely!

Listing was very accurate, clean and with items necessary for the stay. The location was 9 minutes from Duke University Hospital which is what we needed but not in a neighborhood but rather on an exceptionally busy main artery. Parking suitable for only two vehicles and was difficult to navigate in order to drive out. The house sits considerably lower than the street and due to infrastructure the bottom of the vehicle was scraped each time we exited. No ceiling fans in the house, odd for NC. AC worked well, but when traveling with an elderly parent, fresh out of surgery, we needed to keep the temperature moderate for her comfort. There was however, one box fan, which meant only one bedroom was able to enjoy. The bathrooms did not have enough space to hang wash cloths and towels. There were no cloth racks in the tub area either. No curtains in either bathroom so a level of privacy was missing as well. Definitely not a location for those with limited mobility. Three steps to enter and two tubs which required persons to be steady on their feet to access. All around the property were sketchy neighbors. Someone even entered the driveway, snapped a picture of my niece who was sitting on the porch and then left. Wear, tear, stains on the furniture along with tattered throw blankets for use. Closet did not close properly. Comfortable however, you can tell it is an investment property. We even had to use their website and leave a 250 incidental deposit.

We enjoyed our stay at Cozy Quarters. The few minor “wear & tear” items were easily worked around or remedied. The proximity to Duke also couldn’t be beat! Thankful to have had the chance to stay.

The house and location are great, but the check in process was a nightmare. The host requires check in through an app, but the app was freezing and having technical difficulties. I tried to alert them to the issues and sent the information requested through the VRBO messaging app, but they refused to give us the check in code until I was able to go through their app. After hours of back and forth messages and trying it on 3 different mobile devices, we finally got it to go through on their app. It was still over an hour before check in information was sent. It was frustrating to say the least.
