Bell Hotel & Inn by Greene King Inns

Nicely located in the centre of Woburn with its own car park. The only issue is you are wedded to your mobile phone is that mobile signal strength is very poor (I’m on EE). But the hotel has free WiFi and Woburn itself is served by fibre optic cables to the premises.

The hotel grounds were unkept & certain areas of the hotel were a little past their sell by date! However the Receptionist when checked in was very helpful & polite despite the fact that most of her technical appliances were down. The Barman at the restaurant side of the hotel was also very good.

Booking in at reception was very easy and the receptionist ( Caroline .. I think !) was warm Welcoming and very friendly, explained everything and made sure we knew who to contact with any problems. We were on the top floor the room was clean tidy and all amenities worked good supply of tea and coffee and a full size kettle, iron and ironing board and proper hairdryer .. rooms are a little tired and the carpet could do with a good clean but the bedding was spotless and the bed very comfortable. It was a very warm night and we were very glad of the fan provided in the room, front facing g room and the road can be a bit noisy with the window open. Breakfast served across the road was plentiful with hot and cold options some cold meat/ cheese would have been welcomed by me if I was to be picky and unfortunately the Avocado I ordered was on the turn ( It is pre smashed not freshly prepared) but the poached eggs spot on full English looked nice and was well presented and enjoyed by hubby. All in all a lovely overnight stay to round off our wedding anniversary and we will stay again .
