Sunset Motel On The Bay

This is a mid century Schitts creek type motel. I mean that in the best way possible. Not for the Beougie! But it is awesome. Rooms are clean and well taken care of. This place is literally right on Lake Superior! The price was fantastic and there were chairs and picnic tables right there to watch the sunset. Which in and of itself was worth the price of admission. The outside doors and common area create a little sense of old school community. Creature comforts yes, but prima donna not so much. Plus shuffle board! We had so much fun and it is right next to downtown Munising.

Beautiful location on the shores of Lake Superior. Comfortable outdoor space for sitting and relaxing. Great and helpful staff, allowed early check-in since our room had already been cleaned.

Had a great stay here. It's an older motel, but well maintained. Room was clean, area was quiet and can't beat the view looking at the bay. Our room, on 2nd floor, had a good layout. Kitchen and tv area had a good seperation from the bedroom. Appreciated having the chairs and tables by the water to enjoy the view and have a snack.

Wonderful location directly on the water 😍 Outside of building leaves a bit to be desired but nothing some paint & new wood wouldn’t fix. It’s apparent that the interior was the focus as they’re completely (albeit rustic) updated. Staff friendly & helpful. Shuffle board & picnic area outside right on Lake Superior.
