Hampton by Hilton Blackburn

Didn't get a blanket for the sofa bed as requested, soap dispenser broken in shower, sofa not very comfortable, breakfast cutlery was dirty, tables not clean during breakfast, even though asked a lady to clean a table please, but didn't.

A modern and comfortable room, but the poor breakfast service let down the overall enjoyment of the stay. The rooms are well designed and high quality, although there were issues with our lamp (flickering badly, couldn’t use it) and shower (blocked plug hole, not draining). Maintenance issues were reported to reception, but as it was the weekend, I was told there was nobody available to look into it until Monday. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the rest of the room. Breakfast was disappointing. Firstly, there were very few “proper” tables to eat at. Most were high-level bar-style tables, or low-level sofa / coffee tables. The selection and amount of breakfast available was also disappointing. A lot of the options had run out and were not being replenished, and it was difficult to find staff to ask to ask for more. The cooked breakfast was not particularly appetising and not very well cooked, and the non-cooked items were not too appealing either. It felt like the breakfast had be largely undercatered for, given the amount of guests staying that evening.

I’ve stayed here before, and the room is quite comfortable, and the food is OK, and a decent breakfast.

Excellent hotel with great facilities in the rooms. Great walk in shower and even a towel hook near the shower. Everything youneedis in tge room and high quality. Not much nearby but there is a costa, greggs anda few other options.
