So this is a niche place sort of. Mecca for Spider Mountain and also co-located to RPR. That’s probably code for a great span of mountain biking experience within 10 minute drive. There’s also a tavern not far away so a meal and cold beverage not in your cabin is a very real, casual, and very good option. The Thunderbird is a group of cottages/cabins and they are clean, comfortable and just cool. Not fancy, but cool. My place was next to the pool-bonus. And the front porch was a relaxing view of the boat ramp area. I frankly loved it. The cabin is fully equipped kitchenette, with coffee maker, mine had 2 double beds, and a walk in shower type bathroom with AC. I really appreciated the porch-just chillin…just l-i-v-i-n…

If you make contact with the lady at the front desk…and you have a bitch, come here, I’ll slap you. The place is great, but the people are what are going to make me come back. Front desk at the Lodge, everyone at Spider Mountain…come on man, there isn’t anything not to like here.
