Haus Rye B&B

Great location, a small villige few minutes from the busy Hallstatt lake and town and very close to the the 5 fingers. Overall a great base for the area. The B&B is great! Clean, good size rooms ,comfortable, great shower, nice balcony and good breakfast. Owners are lovely and very clear on their expectaion of you as guest. Loved it and will come back again next time I am in the area.

No elevator, so if you have mobility issue or just a family / not a light traveler, there is a bit of ifting to the second floor :) Not the end of the world but important to know. Food options are limited in the area after 6-7pm when the town (Hallstatt) is closing, get ready before with a takeaway or a restaurant invitation to avoid going to bad hungry ;)

The rooms were nice and it was great that we had a common balcony, with a gorgeous view towards the mountains. There are mountains pretty much all the way around so no matter where you look you still see mountains. The breakfast was very nice. And the hosts were very welcoming and attentive. We've got nice tips and we've had a wonderful stay. It's pretty easy to arrive to Hallstatt by bus or by train and boat, which is great since parking in Hallstatt is not easy. I think we've got a much better deal than if we were getting an accommodation in Hallstatt. The rooms were much better here. We've also enjoyed very much the restaurant "Uferwirt Seeraunzn" which is reachable either by car, but even more convenient by train (Obersee station). It has very nice food at reasonable prices and a gorgeous view over the lake and towards Hallstatt. It was also great that we've received the local tourist card that was giving discount to the cable car and other attractions in the area.

Beautiful house with cosy rooms. Spotless and spacious with a lovely balcony. The honesty bar was an excellent idea and we spent the evening in the dining room playing cards. Breakfast was excellent. The hosts were very helpful and made us feel very welcome.
