Hotel Ananya Inn

One of the best accomodations I had in 2 months in India! First I need to say that the staff is one of the kindest and most attentive in my whole trip. Always asking if there is anything they can help, or checking if everything is ok in the room. Location is very very good near Assi ghat, where you can see Ganga Aarti at morning or night. At the time of our stay (first week of October ‘26) the Ganges was very high so many of the ghats were flooded. The Assi ghat is one of the few that were still above the water, and as the accommodation was 10 minutes walking to it, it is very convenient. To the other famous ghats its like 20/30 minutes walking so very doable and interesting to do it that way. The room was very clean, and the AC and fan worked perfectly in the heat of Varanasi. There was plenty of hot water with the geyser. At the 2nd floor, without facing the Assi Road it was quiet enough and away from the noise and chaos. There is included breakfast which is very good and filling! It includes, and omelet, 4 pieces of bread or toast, butter, jam, 2 bananas, one bottled fruit juice, and coffee or tea. They could accomodate masala chai for me per request. All this per person. They also include a complimentary small water per person every day. You can have breakfast at the rooftop, or at the room if you prefer. There is a table and chair at the room for eating comfortable. The staff prepared a packed lunch as we departed early the last morning 🙏 You can also order food from apps like zomato and they arrive perfectly at the hotel. The staff helped us talking with the drivers in Hindi in case it was needed. You can reach the hotel from the train station by car/taxi as the Assi Road is big enough for it. Considering the price, including such good breakfast and wonderful service, don’t look anywhere else, as this is a great option. It is not luxurious like a 5 star hotel, but the price to quality ratio is unbeatable in the area.

We had such a great stay at the Ananya. the location was great, the staff were so so helpful and kind. the room were great. We were cooked breakfast everyday and on the last day they even made us a packed lunch. All around a great stay! Thank you we will return!

The hotel staff were extremely attentive and genuinely cared about making sure guests had a good experience. The location is excellent, and the breakfast was also very good. Overall, the warm and helpful service really stood out during my stay.

The location is great. It is located on an avenue, so you will find plenty of places to eat nearby. It is just a minute's walk from the old town and close to Assi Ghat (15 min walking).

There were always a lot of men at the reception, and as a solo traveler, I didn't feel comfortable. Although some staff was nice, the manager was not always willing to help or to answer me on WhatsApp. The breakfast was served in the room, but in my room, there was no table. You need to ask them to clean your room; they don't do that if you don't ask.
