Azul Eco Hotel

It was clean enough for an old property. The view from the balcony was nice. The beach was lovely. The food was decent and sufficient (lots of melon) the staff was very active during meal times with picking up plates and setting up tables. Some kind of entertainment scheduled for every night, karaoke, mini disco, live music, even Cretan night in Sundays. Bus station 10 min away to go to Rethymno, the return station is right in front of the hotel. Bus tickets at the supermarket next to the hotel. Playground for kids can’t be used during the day, no real shade except a small tree that covers a small part of the climbing section.

It is an old property and it shows, despite the newer furniture in the rooms. The back rooms face a land wall with plants growing on it, the front rooms can be alley walk view or pool view but both with show sound from 21 to 23:00 every night. The drinks are bad, we mostly drank water and bought anything else from the supermarket next to the hotel. The walk to the beach and back is tiresome, but it is worth it. I did not feel the pools were quite ok for the kid. He had a terrible case of contact dermatitis about 2 days after arrival (still don’t know what caused it). A lot of traffic on the way to Rethymno.

Repetitive food , quality of coffee, amount of chlorine in the swimming pool (our kids got allergy reaction), poor evening entertainment, quality of drinks and poor drink selection

Emplacement , nourriture indigne!!! "Réfectoire" très bruyant . Aucune salle pour vous accueillir si il pleut....le seul refuge votre chambre !!! Accueil plus que limite. Mérite pas 4 étoiles tout juste un 3 étoiles. Chambre très petite : WC douche et lavabo dans 2,5m2 au sol .... Impossible de se croiser à 2 en bour de lit. Fuyez cet hôtel !!!! Pour clore clientèle des pays de l'est et vous aurez compris.... L' alcool et les éclats de rire c'est leur credo. J'oubliais, les odeurs d'égouts pour courroner le tout
