In total, I was at the hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. The hotel is straight on the beach - a beautiful stretch of white sand and gorgeous blue water, with remarkable tide phenomenon I had not seen any where else. Despite the tidal changes there is not a lot of algae coming through. Great sunset too. There is a private beach area for loungers, safe, secure and away from sellers. Plenty of shops nearby. The layout and cottages are simple but beautiful, they seem to have been redone recently. The rooms are comfortable, clean and had everything I needed. I liked the decor and the sweet little touches on the walls. Mosquito nets are provided and rooms / resort sprayed regularly. Wifi was the best I encountered across the 3 hotels I stayed in, in Tanzania. The hotel is under new management. The food at the beach restaurant is clean, nicely presented and delicious. I really loved in particular the warm welcome, attention and care of the staff from reception, to cleaning team, to security guards and restaurant staff, everyone was amazing and specially the Hotel General Manager Ibrahim. After checking out, I discovered that my flight was cancelled, and I was really stressed about it. Ibrahim went out of his way, to help me out: Even though the hotel was fully booked, he arranged a studio they reserve for VIP long term guests, especially to help me out, he tried contacting the airlines locally to help me, he offered his phone as back-up for hot spot when I needed to make a critical business meeting after being stranded there, he arranged transfers for me. I was really impressed and touched by the attention and care. This is a 3-start hotel with 5 star personalised service and attention of detail. I loved that and their help made a big difference for me. I was travelling solo and mingled with the other guests at the beach and we went out together, which was fun.

Very nice hotel with professional and extremely kind staff. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again.

The hotel is located right by the sea, which is definitely one of its biggest advantages. It is a small property with only a few rooms, making it feel quiet and intimate. Our room was cleaned every day, which we appreciated.

Unfortunately, there were quite a few things that disappointed us. There are many crows around the property throughout the day, and they can be particularly noisy early in the morning when they land and move around on the roof. The facilities and overall appearance of the hotel feel quite dated, and the mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The food was average considering the prices, which we found quite high. Service was also very slow, although long waiting times seem to be quite common on the island. Communication with the staff was sometimes difficult, as several of the waiters spoke very limited English and struggled to understand even fairly simple requests. Another disappointing point was the drinking water: there is no free drinking water available for guests apart from one litre provided per day for the entire room. Considering the climate and the price of the hotel, we expected better. Overall, we were not satisfied with the value for money. Having stayed at other hotels in Nungwi in the same price range, we found the overall standard and quality here noticeably lower.
