Home Hotel Borgen

The hotel was in a convenient location and staff was friendly

The parking was a few blocks away. I didn't realize we should have pre-booked a parking space with the hotel to get a spot closer to the hotel.

Great location, staff, facilities and value for money

Nothing

We booked 2 deluxe rooms on the corner (picture left 1st and 2nd floor) and 1 deluxe room with turret-room (picture 3rd floor left). Wonderful rooms. We were there during the week and had no problems with any noise. However, there is a discotheque with a large outside area nearby and we can imagine it being loud at moments during the weekend. Breakfast was possibly the best of all our stays during our Sweden holiday (allthough there is some competition with other places :-). Dinner is certainly adequate, but do not expect anything extraordinary. Coffee machine available through the day with good coffee in various options (americano, latte, cappucino, etc). Staff are mostly very nice and good. And the setting is just grand.

Minor issue. The bathroom in the turrent room was unexpectedly inconvenient. The shower was atop a free standing bathtub. There was just no way that water would be contained within the tub.

The location was perfect.

Our room did not have a window, which was disorienting. And, we were not welcomed very warmly. The dinner, which was a nice thing to have included, was just ok.
