Lovely hotel in a good location. We were able to walk to most attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the lounge and bar made for a lovely atmosphere to relax and rest after a full day. The staff were helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Modern, renovated hotel in a beautiful, historic building. And a great location, just a short walk up the hill from stores and restaurants.
8 / 10Excellent·juill. 2026
Overall a positive experience although the standard room was small, barely a foot between the end of the bed and the wall. The room was showing some signs of wear and tear but was comfortable. It felt very compact for the price (and this was with a 25% discount), but that probably says more about the Edinburgh market post the short term let self-catering purge, and the resulting funnelling of profit to the large hotel chains.
The hotel bar closed at 9:30pm which is early, although there are many options within 5-10 minutes walk. Breakfast was a good selection.
All staff members were great and ready to assist as required.
