gorgeous hotel right on the estuary
immaculate + minimal light-filled bedrooms fabulous breakfast and welcoming staff
Really interesting selection of art and architectural magazines in the living room with complimentary port!
We used the complimentary bicycles every day to cycle into town and to the beach in foz to watch the sunset, also further afield to the wonderful parque de seralves +stunning piscinas das marés

The seafront location is great, and views are wonderful. The kitchen setup was adequate. It was good to have garage parking, which suits a small car. It was reasonable for the price paid.
The property is quite tired (some peeling paint in the bedroom, etc.) and needs a spruce-up. We had an unpleasant shower, where the water was thick and brown, though it did clear later on. This may have been an external issue and out of the owner’s control.
