Hotel Mirador de Chamartin

Clean rooms,parking available, but no instructions for using the garage. Available breakfast, pool. Air-conditioned rooms but poorly controlled air conditioning, also airflow directly o er beds so difficult to sleep.

Our room keys didn’t work but staff resolved the issue quickly. There were no pots/pans, etc… in the kitchenettes (or we didn’t see them). So the kitchenette was useless for us.

Nice pool

We reserved this hotel as it appeared there was a pool, air conditioning and smart TVs. This was only partially accurate. The AC worked but annoyingly would not hold a setting for the whole night and seemed to reset itself after a few hours. We would turn it up to 22 or 23 and then (because there is no blanket provided, just a sheet) we would wake up freezing mid night. We put towels on top of the sheet to try to keep warm. Then in the wee hours of the morning wake up with it off, sweating. We would have to get up and turn it off - since the settings wouldn't stick and it kept resetting to 20 degrees after turning off. The pool was another amenity that turned out to be undesirable. We could see it out a window, it was surrounded by grass, no chairs, no services, and no idea how to even get there. The 2nd floor window/door where we could see it opened to *nothing*. But why would we want to go out and swim in a pool with nothing around to lounge and enjoy, no services etc. The restaurant was expensive, low variety and mediocre food with reservations required. We ordered in with Uber Eats the second day and walked out for dinner the following day. Skipped breakfast the next as we didn't "prepare" with a reservation and didn't have time to spare waiting. Overall the feel of the hotel is very nice, although the hallways are hot and uninviting, the lobby is nice, the service personnel are excellent - the overall package is just a little underthought
