Art Boutique Hotel Chamarel

Location is fabulous. Very friendly check in, puppies well received. Nice room, beautiful patio.

When we had breakfast I wanted another piece of bread. Mistakingly I thought it was self serving, but was in very clear way told it’s not! And by the way, I would have to pay extra for a piece of bread!!!!

It had character and charm. The staff were very pleasant.

Bathroom needs modernising

Woh!! What a place! Beautifully and well kept mansion from the 19th century, great interior and beautiful patio to unwind between trees and a fountain. The rooms are tastefully decorated, staff super friendly and accommodating to our dog. They had prepared everything very nicely in the room! Breakfast in the morning was great with plenty of options and fresh bread and fresh pressed orange juice. Thank you!!

Nothing, keep it up!!!

Nice interior design, reminded us a bit of a Moroccan riadh. Good location, although not fully accessible by car. Aircon was excellent.

First room we were given had two single beds pushed together to a “double”. It also smelled of sewage. Staff were semi helpful - they did eventually change our room to one with a proper double bed and no smell. There were some cleanliness issues, e.g. dust in bathroom that could have been easily cleaned off. There was also no iron to borrow - not great if you are staying for an occasion. Also, they demand that room keys are left at reception when you leave the hotel. This 1. does not feel secure - staff were regularly changing and asked us what room we were in/needing keys for - we could have said any room number, and 2. occasionally there was no staff at reception and you had to wait for them to return to be able to get into your room. Moreover, to use the safe in the room, you have to leave a €10 cash deposit (on top of giving them your credit card details)?
