Beautiful property, the host is absolutely one of a kind and so thoughtful. The suites are clean and well maintained with large bathrooms. Property is close to a lot of local amenities, and a beautiful view is just steps away. We will definitely be back, and already looking forward to our next stay.

We stayed for 2 nights in Matera, the accommodation is located right on the border with the old town making easy access to and from the main tourist attractions, restaurants, supermarkets and cafes. Highlight of our stay was Michael who was extremely accommodating, helpful and kind. This made the stay very pleasant and he was always anticipating our needs, being one step ahead. Would recommend!

I honestly can’t praise this unique property enough. If I could give it 11 out of 10 stars I would. It all comes down to the care given by our host. Though it was a bit difficult to find initially ( as you did actually need to drive the wrong way down a hill to reach the property) we found it easily with help of Google Maps. Our host greeted us and helped us to onsite parking for a fee of 8€ a day. So worth it. Our host was so amazing. Using Google Translate we were able to understand each other. He literally runs to help He provided us with a map of the area and all the amazing attractions in Matera. The location honestly couldn’t be better to see Sassi all within a 7-20 min walk. Our host recommended many restaurants and supermarkets in our area. Our accommodations were so eclectic. We loved it. 😍. Below street level there are only 4 rooms. Because of our party of 3 we had a family room that had a power vent to the street. We found the first night was a bit noisy even with it closed so we ran the bathroom fan as white noise which worked well. Our “cave dwelling “ was equipped with a small fridge snacks juice boxes water and coffee that we could make in the lobby. Top notch washroom facilities . The tap water was good to drink. Our host noticed I came to the front to make my coffee in bare feet. Two minutes later later he knocked on my door with slippers 🤗. What an incredible man. Laundry though pricey was taken by our host to a cleaner and returned within the day.
