Haadtien Beach Resort

The location of Haad Tien is absolutely incredible and easily the highlight of our stay. The beach and surroundings are beautiful, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the Castaway Villas, which comes at a significant premium, and unfortunately we felt the overall experience lacked the finesse you would expect at this price point. B Haad Tien has an incredible setting and lovely staff, but for the price of the Castaway Villas, we expected a much more polished experience, better attention to detail and a higher standard of amenities.

reakfast was below average and is shared with guests from the more affordable accommodation at the resort. There is also no proper coffee machine on site, which was surprising for a resort in this price category. Our villa itself needed some attention and maintenance. The inside of the fridge was broken, there was rust on the white closet trim, and the lighting around the resort at night was very dull. We were travelling with our child and expected the daybed to be prepared as an additional bed, as is normally the case when a hotel knows a child is staying in the room. It wasn’t made up when we arrived. After requesting bedding, a duvet that didn’t properly fit the inner was simply placed on the daybed rather than the bed actually being made up. The pool is also very small for a resort of this size. We didn’t use it once during our stay and didn’t find the pool area particularly family-friendly. The location is quite isolated, which is wonderful if you plan on staying at the resort, but worth knowing beforehand. A trip into town and back costs around 800 baht each time unless you pre-book the resort shuttle.

Lovely location. On the most beautiful beach in the island. The upkeep could be improved. So could the service. Food is very good. And the location is worth everything.

The upkeep of the rooms is poor, service could be better.

Les villas ne sont vraiment pas d'un grand standing pour le prix. Un effort de modernisation des villas et de propreté est nécessaire. cela reste très basique.

Our lodge was an older one and it didn’t feel like 5 star accommodation at all. We also found the limited shuttles frustrating and a later shuttle so we could go out for tea and then return would have been useful
