Berghaus Männlichen

Berghaus Männlichen is the only accommodation located directly on the Männlichen mountain peak, making it a truly unique place to stay. There are two ways to reach the property: by cable car from Grindelwald Terminal or from Wengen. The journey from Wengen was an experience in itself! We stayed in a Twin Room, which was surprisingly spacious compared with some of the more expensive accommodations we had stayed at during our trip. Since this is the only hotel and restaurant on the mountain peak, and the property is accessible only by cable car, it is important to check the cable car schedules carefully when planning your stay. Once the day visitors have left, the experience becomes completely different. You are surrounded by mountains such as the Eiger and Jungfrau, with only a few other guests around. The atmosphere becomes incredibly peaceful and quiet. The sunset and sunrise were absolutely spectacular and easily the highlight of our stay — 1000/10 for both! You can also easily do the Royal Walk, which is around a 20-minute hike and definitely worth doing. One thing to note is that the property uses Type J (Swiss) power sockets, so bring an appropriate adapter if needed. Breakfast is available if you book it with your stay, and we found it to be really good. Overall, staying at Berghaus Männlichen was an unforgettable mountain experience, especially once the crowds had gone and we had the peak almost to ourselves.

If type C power sockets available just as other stays it would be better.

Cannot beat the location!!

I assumed the 2 twin rooms shared a bath between the two, not the whole hallway so that was a bit disappointing but still an excellent stay.

Amazing location, super friendly helpful staff and great breakfast. Gorgeous view of the mountains out my window.

The bed in my room (15) was quite hard.
