The hotel manager Vinit and his staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay special The location to safari pick up is close to the hotel but needed a tuktuk or car.

The shower only had limited hot water and ran out quickly. The wooden beds by the pool are uncomfortable and need a full cushion however the pool was lovely and clean.

The room was clean, and we appreciated the local textile hanging in the room, which added a small touch of local character. The food at the restaurant was fresh and delicious. The gentlemen at reception and in the restaurant were kind and helpful, especially when they contacted the person who arranged our safaris to help us understand the arrangements. Ajay, who worked in the restaurant, was particularly helpful with ordering food and making conversation. We also appreciated having shampoo, liquid body wash, and lotion provided.

Unfortunately, the price did not match the quality of the hotel. The bathroom sink and shower drains needed a deeper cleaning, and the shower faucet fell off the first time we used it. There were stains on the bed cover, and the fan made a high-pitched noise. The balcony was in direct sunlight for most of the day, making it too hot to sit outside, and the room had very little local character. We were not informed in advance that the restaurant served only vegetarian food. We also were not told that cellphones were prohibited for photography on the tiger safaris and that a separate camera was required. Neither the hotel nor our safari contact communicated this important information before our trip. We would have preferred more environmentally friendly amenities, such as refillable bottles for the shampoo, body wash, and lotion, rather than individual containers. Most importantly, we never quite felt comfortable. Although individual staff members were kind and helpful, the overall atmosphere felt subdued and lacked warmth and positive energy. On one of our two evenings, local musicians performed at the hotel. We were the only guests sitting and watching. The musicians began with energy and enthusiasm, but this quickly faded, which seemed to reflect the overall atmosphere of the hotel. It is difficult to explain, but something about the experience felt off, and the hotel felt rather sad rather than lively and welcoming
