Great family place. Great location.

Everything was as advertised and our host’s communications were very clear. This is a great place to stay.

Phenomenal location for hiking/biking in Pisgah and DuPont. Only about 7 minutes from downtown Brevard. This location ranked highly for communication with the host, Alisha. We had several major issues that once reported to Alisha she swiftly arranged repairs/replacement and worked with us on making us as comfortable as possible. Thank you Aisha. Other than the major issues, our main concern was the lack of central air. There are 3 mini splits in the house, two on the main floor and one on the top floor. Downstairs has a window unit with really good ceiling fans which cooled the room properly but the mattress was not very comfortable and despite the egg crate you could still feel the springs. Some of the bedrooms were really hot at night time and made it difficult to fall asleep, even with open doors to allow air flow. The master bed was the most comfortable bed in the house. House could use some updating with a few things like new mattresses and better fans (put the same type of fan in the upstairs rooms as you have on the lower floor) and the stay would be much more comfortable. Dishwasher could use an update too. We had to do some of our own cleaning when we got there, unclogging the sink and floors were very dirty however the bathrooms and bed linens were very clean, which we appreciated.

Location, check-in and interaction with property mgr was great. Several things caused us concern. None of which are major. All were either resolved while we were there or can be with follow up. 1.)The pictures on line, painted a different picture from what we found. 2.) The cabin was dusty, appearing there had been quite an elapsed time since previous cleaning. 3.) The yard was unkept, leaves we expected but not acorns that had to be over a year old. 4.) The water going to the ice maker appeared to be turned off. We had to use the ice trays. 5.) We found the TV, upstairs bedroom over the dining area, had broken legs. It works fine, just wouldn't stand alone. 6.) The main floor bathroom window was difficult to operate. 7.) A few of the electrical switches were upside down. 8.) The property mgr (Alisha), and the handyman (Patrick) were great to work with in resolving several other issues. 9.) When we arrived the house water pressure was abysmal. Alisha called to let me know it has been resolved. Great job Alisha!
