I didn’t just find a place to stay, I found a beautiful family. They were incredibly kind and truly helped me when I needed it most, which meant a lot to me. The location is perfect, close to everything and very convenient. The room was comfortable, and I felt at home right away. A warm and special place that I wholeheartedly recommend.

A 4 minute walk to the beach, the location is perfect, Lasantha and his family are wonderful people and we enjoyed our stay here.. it was very hot, but we did have 2 fans and a cool shower.
Lasantha (ex Sri Lankian Air Force) also has a tuk tuk and mini bus, and unlike the tik tuk mafia on the south coast has the highest interigty, honestly and professionalism also very reasonable in terms of cost and driving us around, for most of the day, taking us to places we wanted to goto and showing us some amazing things.
I should have booked the AC room, my mistake.

Amazing home style stay. The most beautiful, hospitable, kind and helpful family.
Yunals place is close walking distance (less than 5minutes) to Hiriketiya Beach, which we surfed each morning and afternoon.
It’s off a busy little road, and is quite and feels like its own little oasis. The family hired us a scooter and recommended amazing spots nearby to explore.
We would love to stay here again next time we are in Sri Lanka.

Really kind family, who were lovely to stay near. They helped return my phone charger to me, and gave me fruit and a coconut on arrival.
There was a very thin plasterboard separating my bedroom from their family kitchen. It meant that I found it hard to relax in that space, especially in the early morning when I was woken up. If this was advertised, I wouldn’t mind, but it wasn’t exactly relaxing. The bathroom is also semi-outside, so I did have to shower with lizards and a few frogs!
