Authenticity, friendly host, was an old cottage but made very conformable in the middle of the olive tree orchard

Quiet, peaceful, close to Knossos
Locating the cottage was a bit of a challenge: specifically getting to the frontage road just east of the motorway through Skalani.

We had the most warm of welcomes, the house is beautiful and the garden a paradise. The home made cheese pies and cakes on arrival were very welcome as was the local wine. Our excellent host Ierini gave us good advice about eating in nearby Skalani, where we had a tasty evening supper. A great advert for Cretan hospitality!
Can’t think of anything, it was all great
