Everything!!! Everything about Esmeralda was perfect. Communication was spot on. Youssef was very helpful and prompt in replying before we arrived and during our stay. In fact he couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was a problem. The Riad is small and elegantly appointed. The central pool Devine and photographically perfect. the rooms very large and very comfortable. Location was very easy to find just on the edge of the Medina. Breakfast was delish and plenty of it. Thanks to all for our wonderful memories

Nothing to not like

This is an exceptional property. We felt extremely safe in the area. Yousef, Mohamed and Abdul are absolute gentlemen. They will do whatever it takes to make your stay enjoyable. I would recommend using them to organize guides, transport etc as they know the right people to contact. The road itself is steeped in history and just sitting and relaxing there is a holiday in itself. Breakfast should not be missed.

I would be hard pressed to find anything to complain about.

This place exceeded our expectations. It's about a 20 min ride from the airport to this Riad. Because of it's specific location, your driver has to drop you off and then you have to walk down an alley (it's safe) to get to the location. Mohammed from the Riad spoke to the driver and gave him specific details on where to drop us and where he would meet us to take us into the Riad. The check in process was simple and Mohammed greeted my husband and I with traditional Moroccan tea (it's really good) and some bread and crackers. After this, Mohammed led us to our room and then gave us a tour for where breakfast is held. Breakfast is really really good (we had eggs, tea, fresh orange juice, fruit and yogurt, and break daily [coffee optional as well]). Overall, the staff (Mohammed, Yousef, Abdul, and the wonderful ladies in the kitchen) made this stay so comfortable!! The location is really central to all of the sites to see so everything was an easy (and safe) walk. I would absolutely stay here again.

I wouldn't say that we didn't like anything about the place, but I will simply give 2 suggestions that i think will make the stay even more exceptional. 1) The Riad requires a city tax to be paid separate from your bill to stay (which is pretty normal for most tourist spots). However, that fee can only be paid in cash. We used up most of our cash the night before we left, knowing we didn't want to bother converting it back. Luckily, we had some left over or we would've had to go to the currency exchange place to get more money. I think knowing that the fee had to be paid in cash up front would save the visitor any potential hassle. 2) The bathroom is setup is great. However, there is nothing stopping the water from splashing everywhere while using the shower head. I think it would be a great idea to install a fixed half glass separator from the front to middle of the tub to minimize/prevent the water from getting on the floor while showering.
