Giannis begrüßte uns mit sehr leckerem, selbst gebackenen, traditionellem kretischen Kuchen. Dazu empfahl er uns die besten Restaurants der Gegend und zeigte sich sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist traumhaft schön eingerichtet, mit Allem was man braucht. Die Terasse ist ein absolutes Highlight, groß und mit einem traumhaften Blick auf das Meer und man muss den Sonnenaufgang unbedingt dort genießen.

We arrived later than planned in the evening and Giannis met us and let us in. There was food and water in cupboard which meant we were able to rustle up a quick meal for us and our children. Giannis booked us a cab for the morning and is a very helpful and friendly host.

There was nothing not to like.

A warm pie (cinnamon and custard) awaited us upon arrival. The fridge even had water, eggs, and other stuff for us. There are herbs, spices, and oils available, which is great so one does not have to buy everything for a short stay. We were able to cook dinner from everything provided without needing to go out. The views from the balcony are amazing, and it is very quiet. It is such a big apartment. We only stayed a night on our way to Chania, but it would have been a great place to stay for a week, esp. if one has a car and can explore the island from there. The apartment is about a 5-7 min drive to beaches, and it is pretty hilly. We did not walk and only stayed one night, but I assume it would take at least 15-25 min to walk back from the beaches. The hosts are very friendly and were reachable to coordinate the arrival time and pick up the key. It is important to have local cell service so you can call them. I believe they live on the property (though we did not see them otherwise), but you need to be let into the gate on the day of arrival. Then you have your own gate remote to open and close the gate. We had no problem reaching the hosts by phone, so they waited for us when we arrived by car.

The property uses "beachfront location" in its description. I don't consider this beachfront. I had not expected a longish walk to the beach.
