Very good room size.
Hotel takes large coach tours. There for breakfast three of our four nights. Took over almost all seats and the food. Leading to long queues for coffee etc. very noisy of course. Main problem our booked double bed turned oil to be two singles pushed together with separate duvets which kept falling off in a very uncomfortable first night. At first we were unable to get any help, reluctant staff told us they couldn’t do anything and no double duvets available. Finally got a double sheet put on under the duvets which helped but not satisfactory.

The location is great. From the hotel you can easily get to all locations in Trier by foot.
Also the breakfast is above average.
We also got a gift when checking out which I do appreciate
The room had an open shower, so if you don’t travel as a couple be aware that you might be more exposed than you wish for.
Also, a few things were broken in the room (TV didn’t work, door had a gap) and you generally feel like there were no upgrades of the room since the 80s. Of cause I can only speak about the room we had, maybe other rooms were in a better condition.
We also struggled to connect with WiFi
