This is a very nice, grand old hotel, which is a little faded and in need of investment. The pool area is very new, and lovely. Our room was comfortable, and we had a bath, which seems to be rare in Sicily. It has a big, free parking area, also something of a rarity.
It's a really long walk to the main town, and Ortigia. Downhill there, and uphill back. There aren't any real options to walking. Parking in the town looks difficult, and no obvious bus service. A hotel shuttle would really help.
Breakfast is hit and miss. Popular items like eggs, were gold dust. The dining room is enormous.

Our room was lovely with a nice terrace. Room cleaned whenever we wished .
Beautiful hotel and wonderful pool area, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, very relaxing pool.
Staff all excellent especially Carmello and Simon
Cocktails superb , recommend Happy Hour - we loved Lemoncello spritz, Hugo Spritz, white Ladys :-)
Breakfast plentiful and good quality
Would of liked Tea and Coffee making facilities ,
Iron and board in room
Food in pool area limiting , maybe offer club sandwich , more salad options etc

Lovely pool, great staff, especially the gentleman who runs the breakfast.
The building Is grand but needs some tlc we had a leak in the ceiling of our room what ended up coming through the light. It was fixed very quickly when reported, but then within days was leaking again. The location had a lot of mould so it obviously was a long standing leak.
It is the location of a number of coach trips.... So breakfast was always either rammed or there was nothing left.
No complimentary water in the room and the tap water is not drinkable, so if you arrive late in the evening as we did you need to use the mini bar.
