The hotel is in an historic mansion which has been beautifully restored with lots of antiques and art work. There are many comfortable areas to sit, including the very beautiful back yard, which has a swimming pool and some hammocks. The hosts are very helpful and friendly and fun to talk to. The location is within walking distance to the historic medieval city as well as the new parts of Carcassonne.
Everything was great.

The location is great! We were able to walk to both the medieval city and the lower "old" town. Lots of restaurants close by and the hosts have maps and oriented us well with recommendations. The place was very clean and unique! The back yard was lovely and we would have liked to spend time out there and in the pool but we unfortunately didn't have time. The breakfast was tasty and hearty. Beautiful sheets and towels, and lovely marble in the shared kitchen and bathrooms!
It said that they would help us with us with luggage so when we arrived (2 couples), our husbands left to return the rental car. My friend and I thought we'd have help but Marianne's husband and son were not there to help so we had to drag the luggage up the stairs. O if we had known, our husbands would have helped us before leaving but the text we had received had mentioned someone would be there. Breakfast is not quick so allow time as each table is served individually and the food is made when guests arrive in the dining room. We are big morning coffee people so we were grumpy having to wait for our coffee! 😆

Confort douche limite.
