Fanari Villas

Reception staff were friendly and very helpful any time we had questions. The room was clean; it had an espresso maker, kettle, fridge; the dining room was nice; clean bathrooms; spacious enough to have places to put luggage; accommodated five people for sleeping arrangements. We appreciated the outside seating area while it was nice outside. Too cold to use the hot tub. Free breakfast; the food was good. They had us put in a food order the night before and a time frame of when we’d be coming. Had plenty of options. The dinner was also very good. Most of the waiters were very nice. I also appreciated the staff helping us with our luggage; they helped us get our luggage to and from the taxi area. The view was absolutely amazing! It was reasonably close to the bus stop to take the bus. Also close to the taxi area. The staff showed us where to watch the sunset without the crowds. That was super nice. We didn’t use the pool area; was a little small.

No microwave; one of the beds was in the main room, which made it hard for them to sleep when others got up to use the bathroom or kitchen. The restaurant staff on our first night (mainly one person) was … uh… not good. She made us look at the menu before seating us. We didn’t have a reservation and gave us a hard time about it, even though the restaurant was not full. Once she sat us, she took our drink order but never brought our drinks. The way we were treated at the beginning and watched others get treated better, caused us to re-think our decision to stay and were tempted to leave. We were seated and had our drink order before some others were even seated; others got their drinks, food, and were wrapped up before they even took our food order. I thought that was strange. I felt like we were being discriminated against but wasn’t sure quite yet. Also, it was very cold outside. They went around asking the other guests if they wanted inside seating because of the weather but never asked us. After we had finished our meal and went to pay, I showed the host (who wanted us to see the menu before she seated us) our room so we could get the 10% off. She screeched and said, “Oh! You’re our guests?!” with amazement in her voice. This was the final confirmation that she was discriminating against us, maybe because we weren’t dressed as well as some of the others. Needless to say, we never went back there for dinner. We went and found other restaurants (who treated us much better).

A lot of attention to details. The bed was so comfy that I had a good sleep. The shower was very nice, no hot water issues like some places I stayed. The toiletries were very nice. The whirlpool was heated so nice to use. The breakfast is amazing. The location is great for watching the sunset. The staff were very nice, they allowed us to check in early and stored our bags for us after we checked out. We definitely recommend it.

Our room has no direct access to the cliff view. But we are fine with it because you can enjoy the view from the hotel pool and restaurant area. Some stairs to walk to get to the hotel pool.

I can not praise this place high enough, the staff was super helpful, the location was great, the food was great. A must if staying in Oia.

Chambre réservée avec piscine et pendant tout le séjour. Impossible d’accéder à la piscine car l’eau était trop froide à cause d’un problème technique. Bien entendu, l’hôtel a essayé de compenser. Malheureusement, lorsque vous réservez une chambre avec une certaine prestation, quelque soit les compensation, la déception reste là
