Nice place

Really enjoyed Serenity One. On a large lot at the end of the road. Lots of trees and vegetation. Seemed very private. Recommend!r

The highlight of the property was its location to the beach. Walk out the front door, and you're a few hundred feet to one of two public access points to spend the day at the ocean. We were disappointed in overall condition of the property. The interior walls are OSB sheathing, not drywall, and as such, the graining of the product and even the printed material listing is visible through paint in locations like the bathroom. The kitchen cabinets and drawers have been used and abused. It would be good to see this property get an overhaul. The bathrooms themselves also were dated and worn out. Both the front and side poarches are in need of replacement. There were a couple of boards that had been replaced recently, but overall, they were in poor condition.We also found trash in the yard, most likely tossed there by passersby that we picked up. Overall, a good experienece, but I think the cost of the weekend didn't mirror our expectations.

The house was nice. A little smaller than expected. Comfortable furniture. No closets anywhere to hang clothes or store anything Nice porch. An hour or so after we had been in the house we were infested with flying bugs. We thought they were termites but come to find out they were carpenter ants. We had our 20 month old grandbaby with us so that made it an even bigger issue. The rental company sent an exterminator over on Monday, because they didn’t work on Sundays). It cut down on them some but we dealt with them for the entire week if we had a light in anywhere in the house. Thursday evening I killed 12 of them on our bed before we could get in it. Most nights we turned on the light under the microwave and walked around in the dark. I mentioned having to deal with the bugs all week when I went into the rental office to check out. The seemed to care less. So that was quite disappointing I feel we should have been offered something having to deal with that all week. A guy that had his back to me when I was speaking with the agent turned around and said I’ve heard they are an issue on the Island. If that’s true they obviously knew about the bugs before we arrived. So something should have been said or a warning given We were unable to use the area under the house because of the infestation under the house. Just be warned. Ask if the bugs are still an issue before you rent this property Great location to the beach. Nice bug corner lot.
